Mumbai: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Maruti Suzuki India Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance customer convenience by setting up Maruti Suzuki service facilities at select Indian Oil fuel stations across the country.

Under the agreement, authorised Maruti Suzuki service facilities will be established within Indian Oil’s nationwide retail network, allowing customers to access scheduled periodic maintenance and minor repairs at the same locations where they refuel.

Leveraging Indian Oil’s nationwide retail network

The collaboration will leverage Indian Oil’s extensive network of fuel stations to expand Maruti Suzuki’s service footprint. Indian Oil currently operates over 41,000 fuel stations across India, while Maruti Suzuki has more than 5,780 service touchpoints nationwide.

By bringing authorised service facilities to fuel stations, the two companies aim to provide a “one-stop” solution that improves convenience and peace of mind for car owners throughout their ownership journey.

Focus on value-added services at fuel stations

“Indian Oil is committed to enhancing the customer experience at our fuel station through value-added services. With a network of over 41,000 fuel stations across the length and breadth of India, we are uniquely positioned to bring essential services closer to the consumer. By partnering with Maruti Suzuki, we are integrating world-class automotive maintenance along with our energy offerings,” said Saumitra P Srivastava, Director (Marketing), Indian Oil.

Expanding after-sales reach for Maruti Suzuki customers

Maruti Suzuki said the partnership would make vehicle servicing more accessible by locating it at destinations frequently visited by customers.

“Our goal is to make car servicing as easy and convenient as possible for our customers. By partnering with Indian Oil Corporation Limited, one of India’s most trusted Maharatna enterprises, we will leverage their unmatched reach to take our after-sales service to locations frequently visited by our customers,” said Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer (Service), Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
