Adani Energy Solutions incorporates new subsidiary for Puducherry power business

Adani Energy Solutions forms wholly owned arm, Adani Electricity Puducherry Ltd, to handle power business in the Union Territory

New Delhi: Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) said on Tuesday it has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Electricity Puducherry Limited, to undertake electricity business operations in the Union Territory. In a regulatory filing, AESL said the subsidiary was incorporated on August 25, 2025, with an authorised and paid-up share capital of Rs 1 lakh each. The company is yet to commence operations.

Business objectives

According to the disclosure, the new entity will be engaged in the business of production, generation, conversion, transformation, transmission, processing, storage, supply and distribution of electricity. AESL said the incorporation falls squarely within its main line of business in the power sector.

Shareholding and acquisition terms

AESL will hold 100 percent stake in the subsidiary, having acquired its equity shares at a face value of Rs 10 each. The incorporation has been made through cash consideration. No related-party transactions or promoter interests are involved, the company clarified.

Adani Electricity Puducherry Limited was registered with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, on Tuesday and is incorporated in India.
