ACME Solar commissions additional 12 MW wind capacity in Gujarat, project reaches 68 MW

ACME Solar has commissioned an additional 12 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat, taking the Surendranagar project’s operational capacity to 68 MW

New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings Limited on Monday said it has commissioned an additional 12 MW of wind power capacity in Surendranagar, Gujarat, taking the project’s total operational capacity to 68 MW. The company said the project is being developed through its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd and is part of a 100 MW wind power project that is “being commissioned in phases.”

Financing, EPC and turbine deployment

ACME Solar said the wind project “has been financed through Power Finance Corporation & constructed through in-house EPC capabilities of the company,” with the deployment of “SANY’s 4 MW turbines.”

Power sale and long-term PPA

According to the statement, power generated from the project will be sold under a “25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)” signed between ACME Eco Clean Energy and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

Regulatory presence and certification

The commissioning of the additional 12 MW was “witnessed by Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited officials,” ACME Solar said, adding that the event has been recorded in the commissioning minutes of meeting. The company noted that the “formal certificate is expected to be issued shortly.”
