NTPC Renewable Energy signs 1,200 MW solar PPA with PTC India

NTPC REL, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, signs bilateral power purchase pact with PTC India for 1,200 MW of solar capacity

New Delhi: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PTC India Limited for the sale of 1,200 MW of solar power under a bilateral arrangement, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Agreement exchanged in presence of senior officials

According to the statement, the PPA was exchanged in the presence of Dr Manoj Kumar Jhawar, MD and CEO of PTC India, and Dr JS Chandok, CEO of ONGPL, along with other senior officials from NGEL, NTPC REL and PTC India Limited.

Significant milestone for clean energy: NTPC REL

NTPC REL described the agreement as a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the two organisations to promote clean and sustainable energy in India, according to the statement.

The statement did not disclose the tariff, project location, power delivery timeline, or the duration of the PPA.
