New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, reported a sharp year-on-year increase in both consolidated and standalone profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, but saw a sequential decline due to lower other income.

Standalone performance

On a standalone basis, the company’s net profit rose 26.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 165.22 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 130.86 crore in Q1 FY25. However, it fell 19.5 percent from Rs 205.12 crore in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25).

Total income declined 8 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 631.76 crore due to a fall in other income, which dropped to Rs 71.43 crore from Rs 137.76 crore in Q4. The fall in other income stemmed mainly from lower interest earned on IPO proceeds.

Revenue from operations rose 17.6 percent YoY to Rs 680.21 crore from Rs 578.45 crore. Sequentially, it grew 9.3 percent from Rs 622.27 crore. Total income was stable at Rs 751.69 crore, marginally higher than Rs 751.50 crore in Q4. Other income stood at Rs 71.48 crore, nearly halved from Rs 129.23 crore in the March quarter.

EBITDA came in at Rs 670.77 crore, up 29.2 percent YoY and down 4.6 percent QoQ. Consolidated EBITDA margin was 98.8 percent. EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 0.26, down from Rs 0.28 in Q4 but higher than Rs 0.24 a year earlier.
