New Delhi: Tata Power on Friday said it has raised Rs 2,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, according to an exchange filing by the company. The NCDs have been issued using the multiple yield allotment method prescribed by BSE and Sebi, with the issue price determined accordingly, the company said. The debentures are proposed to be listed on the wholesale debt market segment of the BSE.

Two series approved by board committee

The committee of directors on Friday approved the allotment of NCDs in two series of 1 lakh debentures each, aggregating to Rs 2,000 crore. The two series carry tenors of three years and five years, respectively.

The NCDs are being issued to identified investors on a private placement basis, in line with the terms and conditions set out in the placement memorandum and other transaction documents for the issue.
