The MoU lays the foundation for collaboration in developing digital solutions for booking and trading natural gas and LNG, while also creating a framework for exchanging knowledge, best practices and regulatory insights.
As part of the agreement, IGX and PRISMA will work together on organising joint workshops and training programmes for regulators, operators and market participants, alongside other capacity-building initiatives. The two entities will also explore ways to apply Europe’s best practices in digital solutions to the Indian gas market and create robust mechanisms for the trading of natural gas and LNG infrastructure. Another key element of the partnership will be regulatory dialogue, with both sides exchanging insights on frameworks that can enhance transparency and efficiency in market operations.
Rajesh Kumar Mediratta, MD & CEO of IGX, said India’s natural gas sector is at a turning point, and digital solutions will play a key role in ensuring transparent and efficient growth. “This collaboration with PRISMA will help us leverage Europe’s experience and accelerate the development of robust mechanisms for our market,” he said.
