New Delhi: Indian Gas Exchange Limited (IGX) and PRISMA European Capacity Platform GmbH (PRISMA) on Tuesday announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster cooperation in the development of transparent and efficient gas markets. The agreement was signed during a delegation visit to PRISMA’s Leipzig headquarters.

The MoU lays the foundation for collaboration in developing digital solutions for booking and trading natural gas and LNG, while also creating a framework for exchanging knowledge, best practices and regulatory insights.

Areas of cooperation

As part of the agreement, IGX and PRISMA will work together on organising joint workshops and training programmes for regulators, operators and market participants, alongside other capacity-building initiatives. The two entities will also explore ways to apply Europe’s best practices in digital solutions to the Indian gas market and create robust mechanisms for the trading of natural gas and LNG infrastructure. Another key element of the partnership will be regulatory dialogue, with both sides exchanging insights on frameworks that can enhance transparency and efficiency in market operations.
