InoxGFL Group, KP Group sign MoUs to jointly develop 5 GW of wind and solar projects

InoxGFL Group and KP Group have signed MoUs to jointly develop 5 GW of wind and solar projects across India, the companies announced on Wednesday

New Delhi: InoxGFL Group companies Inox Wind Limited and Inox Solar Limited have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with KP Group companies KP Energy Ltd and KPI Green Energy Ltd to jointly develop 5 GW of renewable energy capacity across India, the companies announced on Wednesday. The total portfolio includes 2.5 GW of wind and 2.5 GW of solar and hybrid renewable energy projects.

Inox Green Energy Services Ltd said the MoUs “establish strategic partnerships aimed at jointly developing 2.5 GW of wind and 2.5 GW of solar power projects across multiple states in India.” It added that “Inox Green will provide the O&M services for the wind turbine generators and solar modules set up across all the projects under the partnership.”

2.5 GW wind partnership: Inox Wind & KP Energy

Inox Wind’s MoU with KP Energy covers the development of 2.5 GW of wind projects. The company said the partnership brings together its turbine technology and manufacturing capabilities with KP Energy’s development and execution strengths to deliver large-scale wind capacity across states.

2.5 GW solar and hybrid partnership: Inox Solar & KPI Green

In a separate MoU, KPI Green Energy Limited, a renewable power producer specialising in solar and hybrid projects, has partnered with Inox Solar Limited (“ISL”), part of the INOXGFL Group, to jointly develop 2.5 GW of solar and hybrid renewable projects across India.

KPI said the MoU “establishes a strategic partnership aimed at jointly developing 2.5 GW of Solar and Hybrid renewable energy projects across multiple states in India.”

Under the MoU, “KPI will undertake project development, which includes securing connectivity approvals, land acquisition, right-of-way (ROW) management, statutory approvals, and executing Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) works.”

It added that “KPI will also supply steel structures (solar MMS) and provide Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services for the projects.” ISL, meanwhile, “will supply solar modules for the projects.”

KPI said the collaboration will allow both companies to leverage complementary strengths for “efficient and high-quality project execution,” enhancing their strategic positioning across the renewable energy value chain.

Clean energy transition

KPI’s Chairman and Managing Director Dr Faruk G Patel said, “This partnership underscores KPI’s commitment to building large-scale, integrated renewable energy assets across India… This MoU aligns with our vision of accelerating India’s clean-energy transition and supporting national renewable energy goals.”
