New Delhi: JSW Energy Limited, through its step-down subsidiary Energizent Power Private Limited, has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for the supply of 300 MW of solar-wind hybrid power, the company announced on Wednesday.
The project, which will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), is slated for commissioning within the next 24 months, and will span sites in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. The PPA has been signed for a period of 25 years at a fixed tariff of Rs 3.49 per unit.
With this addition, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 29.9 GW, including 12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under construction, and a 4.6 GW development pipeline across wind, thermal, and hydro projects.
The company also reported 29.3 GWh of energy storage capacity, consisting of 26.4 GWh through hydro pumped storage projects and 2.9 GWh through battery energy storage systems.
JSW Energy has set a long-term target of achieving 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY2030, and aims to become carbon neutral by 2050, as part of its broader clean energy transition strategy.
