Q3 FY25: IREDA’s PAT for Apr-Dec period grows 31%, Q3 up by 27% on y-o-y basis

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has reported a robust growth of 31 percent in net profit for the nine-month period between April-December of FY2024-25 in comparison to the year-ago period. IREDA’s profit after tax (PAT) for April-December period stood at Rs 1,197 crores. For Q3 of FY2024-25, IREDA’s net profit went up by 27 percent in comparison to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal to settle at Rs 425.38 crore. On quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit for Q3 was up 9.70 percent.

Total income for Q3 of FY25 saw a rise of 36 percent, up from Rs 1,253 crore in Q3 of FY24 to Rs 1,699 crore. For the nine-month period between April-December, IREDA’s total income stood at Rs 4,840 crore, which was 35 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Q3 FY25: IREDA’s net NPA at 1.50%

IREDA’s net NPA went up slightly from 0.99 percent at the end of FY2023-24 to 1.50 percent at the end of the December quarter of FY2024-25. The figure was at 1.52 percent at the end of Q3 of FY2023-24. IREDA raised Rs 15,978 crore in borrowings in the nine-month period of April-December of the current fiscal.

The share of public sector in IREDA’s loanbook went up from 21 percent at the end of December quarter of FY24 to 24 percent at the end of the December quarter of FY25. The share of private sector reduced from 79 percent at the end of Q3 FY24 to 76 percent at the end of Q3 FY25.

The share of ethanol projects in IREDA’s loanbook saw the biggest increase in Q3 of FY25 on year-on-year basis, with the figure going up from 3 percent in Q3 of FY24 to 8 percent in Q3 of FY25. The share of solar-thermal projects went down from 30 percent in Q3 of FY24 to 26 percent in Q3 of FY25. The share of wind projects also went down from 21 percent in Q3 of FY24 to 15 percent in Q3 of FY25.
