New Delhi: Hazoor Multi Projects Ltd (HMPL) has announced its diversification into the renewable energy (RE) sector with the launch of a major solar project in Maharashtra, marking an expansion beyond its core focus on infrastructure development to include clean energy initiatives. The company has announced its plans to develop a 1.2 gigawatt (GW) solar park, covering 4,200 acres in Solapur district of Maharashtra.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Saur Urja Park (CSMSUP)

The facility, named the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Saur Urja Park (CSMSUP), is expected to generate around 2.10 terawatt-hours (TWh) of green power annually, helping to offset approximately 0.945 million tonnes of carbon emissions.

The CSMSUP park will feature a mix of fixed and tracking solar panels, designed to follow the sun's movement throughout the day to optimize energy production.
