New Delhi: Inox Clean Energy said on Wednesday its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inox Solar Ltd, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LONGi (HK) Trading to supply up to 5 GW of solar modules for the Indian market over the next three years. The partnership marks a strategic collaboration between Inox Solar and LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, to strengthen India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.

Boost to domestic manufacturing and innovation

Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO (Renewables), INOXGFL Group, said the collaboration with LONGi would accelerate Inox Solar’s journey toward manufacturing excellence. “Aligning with a global leader like LONGi allows us to accelerate our journey towards manufacturing excellence. This partnership will help ensure that the Indian market continues to have access to advanced and competitive solar technologies,” Tarachandani said.

As part of the partnership, Inox Solar will work closely with LONGi to align its operations with internationally benchmarked manufacturing and quality standards. The move is expected to reduce the time lag in adopting new solar innovations in India and strengthen the technological capabilities of domestic manufacturers.

LONGi commits to India’s renewable energy goals

Frank Zhao, President of LONGi APAC, said the company is committed to collaborating with multiple partners across India to promote clean energy adoption.

“Through knowledge sharing and technical cooperation, we aim to support the growth of high-quality solar manufacturing in the region, in line with India’s renewable energy goals,” Zhao said.
