Mumbai: Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) said on Friday that the scope of work under an existing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for a 2,012.47 MWp ground-mounted solar PV project has been enhanced, increasing the commercial value of the contract by Rs 246.92 crore. The total value of the order now stands at Rs 1,480.40 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges. The company had bagged the order in November 2024.
The original order, disclosed on November 27, 2024, covers a 2,012.47 MWp solar PV project. WRTL confirmed that while the scope under the commercial order has increased, the overall project capacity remains the same and the terms and conditions of the contract are unchanged.
The project has been awarded by a domestic entity, and the execution timeline will be mutually decided, the company added.
WRTL did not specify the reason for the enhancement in scope or what additional work or components were added. The company has also not named the client but clarified that the awarding entity is not a related party and there is no promoter group interest involved in the contract.
