New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ACME Solar) has commissioned an additional 16 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, the company said in a statement issued on Wednesday. The commissioning, which follows the first-phase rollout of 28 MW in October 2025, was witnessed and confirmed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). A formal commissioning certificate is expected shortly.

With this milestone, the project’s operational capacity has reached 44 MW, contributing to ACME Solar’s total operational portfolio of 2,934 MW. The remaining capacity will be commissioned in phases.
The project recently received an extension to its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), after the regulator recognised Force Majeure events under the Power Purchase Agreement. The revised SCOD is March 5, 2026. ACME Solar noted that the project has been partially commissioned ahead of the revised deadline, with 44 MW now operational across the first two phases.

The wind farm is financed by Power Finance Corporation and constructed through ACME’s in-house EPC arm, using SANY’s 4 MW turbines. Power from the project will be supplied under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
