Noida: Inox Wind Limited has secured a 51 MW wind turbine order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a renewable energy firm under the Thermax Group. The announcement was made by Inox Wind in a statement on Wednesday. This is the first-ever order that FEPL has placed with Inox Wind. The turbines, from Inox’s 3 MW class series with 140-metre hub height and 145-metre rotor diameter, will be installed at a project site in Tamil Nadu through FEPL’s special purpose vehicle, First Energy 10 Private Limited.

Scope includes EPC and multi-year O&M

The contract includes limited-scope engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, including supervision, and post-commissioning operations and maintenance (O&M) services to be delivered by Inox Wind subsidiaries.

Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind, said the company is “thrilled to commence our relationship with First Energy through this 51 MW order,” calling it “the first of many” to come. He noted that the partnership will support First Energy’s rapid scale-up in the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy space, which is witnessing growing demand in India.

“Inox Wind continues to be a partner of choice for large RE developers, offering a wide range of solutions across the wind energy value chain,” Agarwal said.

Its subsidiaries include Inox Green Energy Services, India’s only listed renewable O&M company with a 5.1 GW portfolio, and Inox Renewable Solutions, which handles project EPC and common infrastructure development.
