New Delhi: KP Group, one of India’s leading renewable energy conglomerates, on Thursday announced that it has signed a Framework Agreement with Senvion India to jointly develop up to 2 GW of wind and wind–solar hybrid projects across multiple Indian states over the next three years.

The collaboration brings together KP Group’s expertise in project development and Balance of Plant (BoP) with Senvion’s proven turbine technology to enable faster, more efficient, and bankable renewable energy project execution. According to the statement, the partners aim to deliver “an integrated, customer-focused solution that ensures speed, reliability, and accountability throughout the value chain.”

KP Group to lead project development and execution

Under the arrangement, KP Group — through its entities KPI Green Energy Limited, KP Energy Limited, and KP Green Engineering Limited — will lead site identification and development, including land acquisition, statutory permits and approvals, and complete BoP execution. This will cover civil works, internal roads, foundations, electrical systems, and grid evacuation up to interconnection points.

Senvion India, a leading wind turbine manufacturer under the strategic ownership of Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Limited (GREDHCL), Dubai — the investment arm of the Alfanar Group — will serve as the wind turbine generator supplier for the identified projects. Project-specific supply contracts will be executed accordingly.

‘Milestone in India’s renewable transition’

Dr Faruk G. Patel, Founder and CMD of KP Group, said, “This partnership with Senvion marks another milestone in KP Group’s journey towards driving India’s renewable transition with speed and scale. By combining our proven project development and execution capabilities with Senvion’s advanced turbine technology, we are poised to accelerate the creation of high-quality, bankable wind and hybrid assets — delivering sustainable value to our stakeholders and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s green energy goals.”

‘Simpler, more predictable execution’

Amit Kansal, CEO & MD, Senvion India, said, “This multi-year framework is about making execution simpler and more predictable. By pairing KP Group’s development and BoP strengths with Senvion’s made-in-India turbine platforms, customers get a seamless, turnkey-like path from planning to generation.”
