New Delhi: Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday concluded his official visit to Abu Dhabi, where he held a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation and investment in India’s renewable energy sector.

During the visit, Joshi chaired a Renewable Energy Investment Roundtable with UAE-based and global financial institutions, investors and renewable energy developers. According to the ministry, discussions covered distributed solar, EPC, clean energy manufacturing, energy storage, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy and sustainable finance.
The minister shared India’s renewable energy growth story and highlighted opportunities across project development, financing and manufacturing under the Make in India initiative, positioning India as “one of the world’s most attractive destinations for long-term clean energy investment,” a statement said.
Joshi participated in the 16th Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and took part in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, engaging with leaders from government, business and finance from across the global clean energy ecosystem.
Addressing the IRENA Assembly plenary, the minister said India’s energy transition is guided by the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future,” and is anchored in equity, inclusivity and long-term policy stability, according to the statement.
At an inter-ministerial dialogue on scaling renewable energy in agrifood systems, jointly convened by IRENA and the Food and Agriculture Organisation, Joshi underscored the role of decentralised renewable energy in strengthening climate-resilient agriculture and rural livelihoods.
The ministry said the visit further reinforced India–UAE cooperation in renewable energy, sustainable development and clean infrastructure, and underlined India’s readiness to work with global partners to accelerate the global energy transition through innovation, investment and long-term collaboration.
As part of the visit, Joshi also interacted with members of the Indian diaspora, including the Kannada community, and acknowledged their efforts to preserve language and culture through initiatives such as Kannada Paathashale, which has been highlighted in Mann Ki Baat.

The minister visited several cultural and spiritual landmarks, including the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the Hindu Temple at Jebel Ali Village and the Gurunanak Darbar Gurdwara in Dubai, offering prayers during the visit.
