New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings Limited has fully commissioned its 300 MW Sikar Solar project in Rajasthan, following the commissioning of the final 60 MW capacity on June 23, said the company in a statement on Tuesday. With this, the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 2,890 MW. The Sikar Solar project, located on approximately 1,300 acres in Bikaner — a high solar irradiation zone — will supply power through the Bikaner II substation at 220 kV. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to generate about 780 million units (MUs) of electricity annually.
The project was awarded under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of Rs 3.05 per unit, which has been adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). ACME said the power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project is expected to be signed soon.
Separately, ACME Solar has also entered the wind energy segment with the commissioning of its maiden 50 MW project at Shapar in Gujarat, as was reported by Energy Watch on June 23. The final 3.3 MW turbine was commissioned this week, completing the project. The site is located in one of India’s high wind potential zones and has a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
This wind project was executed through ACME’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) division, marking a diversification of both its technology portfolio and EPC capabilities.
ACME Solar’s total portfolio now stands at 6,970 MW across solar, wind, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid projects. Of this, 4,080 MW is under development. The company said its integrated approach — spanning in-house EPC, operations and maintenance — helps deliver projects on time and at competitive costs while maintaining high capacity utilisation and operating margins.
