New Delhi: GK Energy said on Monday that it has secured an order worth Rs 235.92 crore to deploy 10,000 solar-powered water pumping systems across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. According to an exchange filing, this latest order takes the company's total order value from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) to Rs 637.83 crore. The filing said the milestone reflects the company's strong execution capabilities and its continued role in advancing Maharashtra's clean energy transition.

Order covers 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP pumping systems

The MSEDCL order, valued at Rs 235.92 crore, covers the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of solar-powered agricultural pumping systems in 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities across the state. The company said the project will be completed within 60 days of the work order or Notice to Proceed (NTP) being issued.

Reducing farmers' dependence on conventional power

The filing said the initiative will support the rollout of solar-powered irrigation systems across Maharashtra, giving farmers reliable and sustainable access to energy for irrigation while cutting reliance on conventional power sources.
