SJVN bags 100 MW wind power project in e-reverse auction organised by GUVNL

SJVN Green Energy Limited bagged 100 MW wind power project on BOO basis under Open Competitive Tariff bidding process followed by e-Reverse Auction held on Friday

New Delhi: State-owned SJVN Limited said in a regulatory filing that "its wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) bagged 100 MW wind power project on Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis under Open Competitive Tariff bidding process followed by e-Reverse Auction held on Friday. "The Company bagged 100 MW @ Rs 3.17 /Unit on Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis under Open Competitive Tariff bidding process followed by e-Reverse Auction held on 05.05.2023 by GUVNL," said SJVN.

Further, the filing noted that SGEL participated in the Request for Selection (RfS) floated by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (“GUVNL”) for setting up of 500 MW STU/CTU Connected Wind Power Plant anywhere in India.

"The cost of Construction / Development of this project shall be approximately Rs 800 crores. The project is expected to generate 281 MU in the 1st year and the project cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 7,025 MU. The commissioning of this Project is expected to reduce 3,44,255 tonnes of carbon emission," the filing said.

"With the allocation of this Project, the project portfolio of the company is now 47,279 MW," said SJVN.
