New Delhi: Servotech Renewable Power System Limited has signed an exclusive strategic partnership with China’s Zhuhai Piwin New Energy Co., Ltd. (Pilot Group) to develop advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in India. “Servotech has been appointed as the exclusive partner of Piwin in India for BESS, with all Indian projects to be routed through Servotech. The company will establish local assembly facilities ensuring BIS compliance and alignment with the Make in India program. Piwin will provide technical support, designs, and core BESS components at competitive pricing,” said Servotech.

Focus on ‘Make in India’

According to a statement issued by the company on Monday, the collaboration will bring together Piwin’s global expertise in energy storage and Servotech’s domestic manufacturing capabilities to build BESS solutions tailored for India’s renewable energy sector. The partnership, it said, is “fully aligned with the Government’s ‘Make in India’ mission” and will accelerate local production of storage technologies needed for grid stability and round-the-clock renewable integration.

Servotech said the tie-up would “accelerate innovation, support indigenous manufacturing, and help build a sustainable energy ecosystem that strengthens India’s energy independence.”
