New Delhi: KPI Green Energy Limited informed the stock exchanges on Monday that it has commissioned 200 MW (AC)/269 MW (DC) of solar capacity for Coal India Limited (CIL) at Khavda, Gujarat. In a separate filing, the company also said that it has received charging permission for a 100 MW (AC)/128 MW (DC) solar project it is building for Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO).

The commissioned 200 MW (AC)/269 MW (DC) forms part of a larger 300 MW (AC)/405 MW (DC) grid-connected, ground-mounted solar PV project that KPI Green Energy is executing on an EPC basis for Coal India Limited at GIPCL's Solar Park in Khavda, Gujarat. The company said the capacity has been certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA).
The balance of the project, 100 MW (AC)/136 MW (DC), remains to be commissioned, said the company. KPI Green Energy said the KP Group remains on course towards an ambition of building a 10 GW clean energy portfolio by 2030. The filing did not state a timeline for the remaining capacity.
In the second disclosure, KPI Green Energy said it had received charging permission, a CEIG approval, from the Chief Electrical Inspector, Nagpur, for a 100 MW (AC)/128 MW (DC) grid-connected, ground-mounted solar PV project it is executing for MAHAGENCO on a turnkey EPC basis. The project is located at Ramthi, Narkhed, in Nagpur district, Maharashtra.

The company said the project marks its entry into Maharashtra and adds a state-utility client to its portfolio. The filing reported the receipt of charging permission only, and did not indicate a commissioning date for the Maharashtra project.
