New Delhi: Juniper Green Energy commissioned 101 megawatts (MW) of wind capacity across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan in the first fortnight of September, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. The capacity was added under its wind-solar hybrid and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects. With these additions, the company's operational portfolio now stands at 2,689 megawatt peak (MWp), along with 503 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Ankush Malik, Whole-time Director and CEO of Juniper Green Energy, described the pace of work as a milestone. "Commissioning more than 100 MW wind capacity across 3 states in the last 15 days is a significant execution milestone for Juniper Green Energy," he said.
Most of the new wind capacity came up in Gujarat, where the company commissioned components for two hybrid projects of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). Both are located at the Charadva substation of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO). The company added 45 MW of wind to GUVNL Hybrid Phase I and 40 MW to GUVNL Hybrid Phase II.
The additions bring both projects closer to completion. Phase I now has 145 MW of its 150 MW commissioned. Phase II is at 70 MW out of 120 MW.
In Maharashtra, the company commissioned the last 10 MW wind component at its Chapalgaon site. With that, the full 75 MW of capacity contracted with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) is now commissioned.

The hybrid project now has 75 MW of solar and 25 MW of wind fully commissioned. That came more than two months before its scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD), the company said.
