New Delhi: Suzlon Energy has won a 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. It is the first order Suzlon has taken from the developer, and the project will be built at Limbawas in Madhya Pradesh. For Ayana, it is the company's opening wind project in the state.

Suzlon will install 64 of its S144 turbines at the site, each rated at 3.15 MW. The order carries the S144 platform past 10 GW in cumulative sales, the company said. Suzlon also described it as its third wind order led by its renewable energy development company (DevCo) business, a set of orders now spread across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
The company will execute the project through its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) offering. That scope runs from turbine supply and land acquisition through balance of plant (BoP), the pooling substation (PSS) and the extra high voltage (EHV) line, and extends to commissioning and operations and maintenance services. Power generated at Limbawas will be connected to the MPPCL state grid.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of Suzlon Group, framed the order around the customer's expansion and the state's resource. "Ayana Renewable Power has steadily built a 5.5 GW renewable energy portfolio across wind, solar and round-the-clock renewable power. We are pleased to partner with Ayana as it strengthens its wind portfolio and expands into Madhya Pradesh," he said.
He went on to the state itself. "With 55 GW+ wind potential at 150 metres, Madhya Pradesh is well positioned to be one of the key states which will drive the next phase of India's wind energy growth. We have won two consecutive wind orders from the state reflecting this growing momentum and the opportunity ahead," Tanti said.
Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suzlon Group, put the order in the context of the company's recent run. "Our end-to-end capabilities give us the strength to develop and execute wind projects efficiently, while creating new business opportunities. We are already seeing the results of our integrated approach to developing renewable energy assets, with four wind orders secured across two states in a short span of time," he said.

For the buyer, Lakshmi Narayanan B, Head Business Development at Ayana Renewable Power, said the project opens a new market for the developer.
