New Delhi: Suzlon Energy Limited has received a 201.6 MW wind order from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited (WFEPL), the independent power producer arm of Waaree Group, according to a statement issued by the company on Thursday. The company describes the project as Waaree Group's "maiden wind project in Andhra Pradesh." The statement does not disclose the order value, a commissioning timeline, the project district, or any offtake arrangement.

Suzlon says it will install "64 nos. of its flagship S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each in Andhra Pradesh". At 3.15 MW per unit, 64 turbines correspond to the stated 201.6 MW.
The company says its scope covers "land acquisition, turbine supply, Balance of Plant (BoP), commissioning, and life-time operations & maintenance services." The statement describes the contract as being executed under what it calls the Suzlon DevCo model, an end-to-end development-and-execution structure the company has been using for recent EPC awards.
Waaree Group is primarily a solar manufacturer. The statement puts group solar PV module capacity at approximately 22.77 GW worldwide and solar cell capacity at 20.17 GW in India and 2.6 GW in the United States.
WFEPL Chief Executive Officer Pawan Agrawal said the group is "building a diversified renewable portfolio that goes beyond solar", and described the project as "an important milestone in that journey."

Suzlon Group Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said the tie-up "unites two companies whose growth has mirrored the evolution of India's renewable energy sector," and reflects an industry "where customers seek integrated solutions, not standalone technologies, and where the DevCo business model is gaining strong momentum."
Suzlon Group Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kapur said this is "our second consecutive DevCo-led EPC order within a week, which reinforces growing demand for partners like us who can de-risk execution and deliver at scale". He said Suzlon's "integrated project development and EPC capabilities are becoming a key differentiator in this evolving market."
