New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings Limited has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) for setting up a 220 MW solar project with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh, the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday.

The project was awarded under a tariff-based competitive bidding process, following an e-reverse auction conducted in September 2025 as part of a 440 MW tender floated by RUMSL for the Morena Solar Park.
According to the filing, the 220 MW project has been awarded at a tariff of Rs 2.764 per unit. The scheduled commercial operation date has been set for December 31, 2027, with the project tenure extending to 25 years from the date of signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA).
ACME Solar stated that the project will combine solar generation with battery energy storage to meet its supply obligations over the full PPA term.
In its statement, the company said the project requires supply of power with a maximum annual capacity utilisation factor of 35 percent, along with four hours of peak supply — two hours each during morning and evening — at 95 percent annual availability.
Charging energy for the evening peak will be sourced from the solar plant, while energy for the morning peak will be supplied free-of-cost by the procurer during night hours. RUMSL will provide land and evacuation infrastructure above the 33 kV level as part of the solar park facilities, ACME Solar said.
The project will also benefit from reduced GST rates already passed through and will be required to comply only with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I.

ACME Solar said the power purchase agreement for the project will be signed with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) and RUMSL.
The company added that the project strengthens its presence in firm and dispatchable renewable energy solutions by integrating solar generation with energy storage at scale.
