KPI Green arm wins 100 MW captive solar project orders which must use India-made solar modules

KPI Green’s subsidiary bags 100 MW captive solar orders under DCR; execution in tranches through FY26–27 with lifetime O&M

New Delhi: KPI Green Energy Limited on Thursday said its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, has received Letters of Award to develop a total of 100 MW of captive solar power projects using DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) modules. The mandate is on a turnkey basis, covering supply, services and operations and maintenance for the operational life of the projects under KPI Green’s Captive Power Producer (CPP) business segment, the company disclosed in a stock-exchange filing.

Orders from multiple industrial buyers under DREBP policy

According to the annexure filed with the exchanges, the orders have come from “multiple industrial investors under Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy.” The company said the work has been awarded to Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Limited.

Completion slated for FY26–27

KPI Green indicated the projects are tentatively scheduled to be completed in various tranches during FY2026–27. The filing classifies the awards as domestic, issued via Letters of Award, and clarifies that the orders do not fall under related-party transactions and that promoters have no interest in the awarding entities. The aggregate order size is 100 MW.
