Saatvik Green Energy bags Rs 16.74 crore order from MSEDCL for off-grid solar pumps

Saatvik Green Energy has won an additional Rs 16.74 crore order from MSEDCL for off-grid solar water pumps under PM-KUSUM-B in Maharashtra

New Delhi: Saatvik Green Energy on Friday said it has secured an additional order worth Rs 16.74 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for setting up off-grid solar water pumps in Maharashtra. With this latest order, the cumulative order size from the state-owned discom has reached 1,815 solar water pumps, with an aggregate value of Rs 30.24 crore, excluding GST, the company said in a statement.

PM-KUSUM-B scheme drives pump deployment

The order, awarded under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM-B scheme, involves the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of 1,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across identified farmer locations in the state, the company said.

Company cites confidence in execution

Commenting on the development, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy, said, “The receipt of this additional order from MSEDCL reinforces the growing momentum in our solar pump business and reflects continued confidence in Saatvik’s execution capabilities.”
